Q: What does the 20-Year / 200,000-Mile Steves Chevrolet Warranty program cover?
A: The warranty covers parts and labor for all approved engine, transmission and driveline failures including applicable seals and gaskets. See coverage details below for a full list of included components and exclusions.

Q: What do I have to do to keep the 20-Year / 200,000-Mile Steves Chevrolet Warranty in effect?
A: A: Simply follow your vehicle’s Manufacturer’s Recommended Maintenance Schedule and have services performed at any ASE-certified repair facility. If maintenance is completed outside of a Steves Chevrolet dealership, you must retain all service records as proof.

Q: Where can I find the Manufacturer’s Recommended Maintenance Schedule for my vehicle?
A: Your Maintenance Guide is provided at delivery. You can also contact a Steves Chevrolet Service Advisor for assistance.

Q: Do I have to have my maintenance work done at Steves Chevrolet?
A: You may service your vehicle at any ASE-certified repair shop, however, all maintenance must be properly documented to maintain warranty coverage.

Q: Do I have to have my warranty work done at Steves Chevrolet?
A: All warranty work must be completed at one of the Steves Chevrolet dealerships if vehicle is registered within 50 miles of either one of our locations.

Q: What does this warranty cost me?
A: Nothing. This warranty is included at no additional cost with eligible new and used vehicle purchases from Steves Chevrolet.

Q: Can I change my own oil?
A: Yes, but you must keep detailed records including but not limited to, dated receipts for all oil and filters, along with a log of each oil change showing it was completed within the recommeded service intervals.

Q: Am I responsible for paying a deductible when making a claim?
A: There is no deductible during the original factory Powertrain Warranty. After it expires, a $1,000 deductible applies to all covered repairs.

Q: Does my 20-Year / 200,000-Mile Limited Powertrain Warranty contract provide towing?
A: When towing is necessary, your vehicle will be towed to the issuing Dealer or the closest affiliated dealer with coverage up to $75 per occurrence.

Q: Is the 20-Year / 200,000-Mile Limited Powertrain Warranty transferrable?
A: No. This warranty is non-transferrable and applies only to the “Original Owner” (as defined in the agreement and referenced below).

Q: Where are Steves Chevrolet locations?
A: We’re ready to assist you at either locations: Steves Chevrolet of Oakdale, Inc., in Oakdale, CA, or Steves Chevrolet of Chowchilla LLC., in Chowchilla, CA. Warranty work can be performed at either of these locations.

Q: Which brands is this warranty included with?
A: This warranty is included with qualifying vehicles sold by Steves Chevrolet-covering all brands and most models. List of excluded Make and Models is included below.

Additional Information:

Note: For “Original Owners” (defined as the first retail purchaser who takes delivery of the new vehicle on its original date of sale), the 20-Year / 200,000-Mile Limited Powertrain Warranty begins upon expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty and will continue to cover the following components up to 240 months or 200,000 miles from the Original Date of Sale, whichever comes first. It does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance, or any items otherwise excluded under this agreement.

EXCLUDED MAKE/MODELS:  Used vehicles with more than 200,000 miles or current models year plus 20, all STR8/SCATPACK vehicles, Chevrolet Corvette, Dodge Challenger/Charger SRT Hellcat/Demon, Subaru WRX, Honda GT Civic, Camaro ZL-1 and Nissan GTR are all excluded make/models. The items covered by the Limited Powertrain Warranty include:

**In the Engine: All internal lubricated parts: bearings, pistons, piston pins and rings, valves, valve springs, valve spring retainers and rocker arms; timing chain or timing belt and tensioners and rocker arms. Timing gear, oil pump, valve guides, followers, valve seat, rocker shafts, push rods, valve lifters, connecting rods, crankshaft and main bearings, camshaft, cam bearings and rocker bushings. Other parts: Water pump, engine mounts, engine cushions, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, front cover, harmonic balancers, flywheel (flexplate), flywheel ring gear, pulleys and eccentric shaft; seals and gaskets.

Note: Engine block, cylinder head(s), cylinder sleeves, oil pan and valve covers are covered; only if the damage resulted from the failure of an internal lubricated part.

Warranty not offered on leases, commercial use, or any vehicle being used for hire to public (i.e. taxi, delivery services, ride share programs), being used to transport people for hire (i.e. Uber, Lyft) or vehicles registered in a business name are excluded.

**Turbo/Supercharger:  All internal lubricated parts contained within the turbo/supercharger housing are covered; only if the damage resulted from the failure of an internal lubricated part.

**In the Transmission:  All internal lubricated parts; torque converter, pump, drums, reaction carrier, shafts, hubs, gears, shift rails and forks, internal linkage, and bearings. Transmission mounts, vacuum modulator; seals and gaskets. The transmission case, housing and oil pan are covered; only if the damage resulted from the failure of an internal lubricated part.

**In the Transfer Case:   All internal lubricated parts and the transfer case housing are covered; only if the damage resulted from the failure of an internal lubricated part.

**In the Drive Axle:   All internal lubricated parts contained within the drive axle housing; hub, axle and non-serviceable bearings, drive gears and clutches. Constant velocity joints, universal joints, axle shafts, drive shafts; seals and gaskets. The axle or transaxle housing are covered; only if the damage resulted from the failure of an internal lubricated part.

**Fluid Coverage:   We will pay for replacement of necessary fluids, oils, greases, and lubricants that must be replaced in conjunction with a covered repair. This coverage does not apply to shop supplies.
